Hard to Have Integrity

I am sorry for not posting the last two days; I have been quite sick. On the other hand, I am considering blogging on only three days a week. This is so my blog doesn't become a collection of daily, insignificant ramblings, and something with a little more substance. I will make the announcement in a blog before I do it.

I find myself as of late in a conundrum of sorts. On one hand I have come to realize how very little is actually expected of me at work, and that I can do very little, still collect my pay and make everyone happy. On the other hand, I have my integrity and sense of accountability to Mr. Gu, who has hired me and given me this opportunity. However, he has not, nor has anyone for that matter, given me any support in the classroom though I have asked many times. So the question is--do I do a good job despite the fact that no one has helped me at all to control my classes and help establish me as the head honcho, or should I just sit back and play hangman all class and keep the kids happy by letting them do whatever they want (happiness is the key to keeping kids enrolled)? This is the moral dilemma.

Coach Chip Hester, the head coach of the Catawba Indians, whom I played for for five years, once read us a famous motivational piece, a prayer by Mother Teresa. It was titled "Do Good Anyways".
I have enclosed the link to a place where you can find it online. I always found it a bit hokey and over-the-top; however, I am finding more relevance in it by the day. I am finding that I have reached a point in adulthood where it really comes down to continually trying to do the right thing even though it is easy, if not even condonable, to do much less.

SUCKS ASS: That my blogs keep centering around my challenges in the classroom.

KICKS ASS: I have some new friends that my best friend in Korea, Andrew, introduced to me. They are from the London area. Their names are Jack and Colleen. They are dating and came to Korea together. They are very nice and are a riot to hang out with.
