Some Pictures of My Day to Day Life

The first picture is of the corner market or "bodega", as they are sometimes called, where I buy for my daily needs. It is owned by a really nice family and as is the case with most of these places, they live in the back.
This is one of many markers on the trail where I run along the river. Ever 100meters and every kilometer is marked by one of these tablets along the entire river.
This is the part of the trail that I actually run on everyday. It gets monotonous; however, with the crazy drivers all over the city, it is much safer than running on the sidewalk.
There is a large hill behind my house and at the top of that hill sits this pagoda. It is of no real significance other than being created in an ancient style. It is a nice place to sit. It has a decent, elevated view of Daejeon, but I can't take pictures because there are a lot of little trees in the way.
Many of these hills throughout Daejeon have little gyms much like this one. They have very interesting exercise equipment here and the pull-up bars I use everyday. There are always many people here and is a good place to come when I am tired of the gym and want to do some dips, pull-ups, situps, and push-ups.
I have no idea who this is or what the significance is. All the writing is in Korean and as of yet I have not met anyone around these figures or the monument that knows english.
This is the monument from afar. Notice the figures at the bottom; there are six total. This monument sits at the top of the hill behind my house as well.
This is the path leading up to the monument, which is now behind me as I take this picture. At the bottom of the picture is my neighborhood. You can also make out the banks of the river as the green fields under the light of the lampost.
This is just one of the many shady paths that cut through the hill where I took all the pictures. It is very relaxing.

This is the front entrance to Namsun Gongwan, the place where I work out. If you notice the fence at the top then you will see where there are three soccer fields and two tennis courts on the top of the building. It is very big! Inside is a pool, saunas, a skating rink, and squash courts. It is about a 3 minute walk from my front door.
This picture was taken Saturday at the picnic. This has become a Saturday routine. This is the same river from previous pictures only about 5km away from the other spot. And yes, that is Jack and Colleen. And, like always I find myself taking pictures of them from behind. The apartments in the left are the biggest and best in Daejeon. They are fully-automated apartments and are known as "Smart City".

KICKS ASS: I will be getting a bike today. A long awaited luxury!
SUCKS ASS: I don't know if I will be able to go with all my friends to Busan in early May because the global recession has apparently hit my hogwan, and my boss said he may not be able to pay me on time! More on this story as it unfolds!
