A Rebirth

What I really like most about Korea is that it offers all expatriates a chance to recreate themselves. Here you can be whoever you want. You can reinvent yourself without the judgement of your friends. How do they know that how you dress now is not the way you have always dressed? How do people know that what you like and the way you act is not what you have always liked or the way you always acted? They don't.

It's not just Korea; it could be anywhere. When you remove yourself from the norms to which you have aligned yourself and the ever-judging eyes of your peers, you are given the unique oppurtunity to do or be what you always wanted. I would like to say that I was above the influence of others when I lived in Orlando, but I wasn't nor have I ever been really. It's a precious few people, if anybody really, that don't care about the thoughts of their peers. So it is an oppurtuniy such as this one I must jump at.

I know this little commentary is a little vague as to the specific changes I want to pursue, but that is for me. If you ever have or once you are confronted with an oppurtunity such as this, you will know what I am talking about.

KICKS ASS: The cost of a train ticket across Korea is less than a meal at the T.G.I.Fridays here. 22,000won

SUCKS ASS: Everyone is going to Seoul this weekend but not Will. There are consequences to losing your wallet. This is one of them.
